The dish can be made with any type of chicken but the most common types used are whole chickens, cut up chicken parts (wings, thighs, breasts), drumsticks, legs, etc.
Soy sauce chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
Chick | 1 (light chicken about 2 catties) |
Soy sauce | 3/4 bowl |
Old soy sauce | 1/4 bowl |
Yellow flakes | 2 pieces |
Crystal sugar | 50 grams |
Ginger | 6 pieces |
Onion | 2 roots |
Water | 500ml |
How to make soy sauce chicken
1. Put all the ingredients and sauces except the chicken into a deep pot and bring to a boil over high heat.
2. After boiling, put the cleaned and drained chicken in the pot.
3. Turn to medium-low heat and keep pouring the sauce over the chicken.
This step lasts 10 minutes. Then turn the whole chicken over.
4. After turning over, press the previous step and cook for another 10 minutes.
5. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
6. Flip the chicken over and simmer for 5 minutes.
7. Cool the cooked chicken on a clean sticky board.
8. Cut into pieces and put on a plate.
It’s time to taste the food.

- 1/4 bowl Old soy sauce
- 2 pieces Yellow flakes
- 50 grams Crystal sugar
- 6 pieces Ginger
- 2 Onion
- 500 ml Water
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients and sauces except the chicken into a deep pot and bring to a boil over high heat.
- After boiling, put the cleaned and drained chicken in the pot.
- Turn to medium-low heat and keep pouring the sauce over the chicken.
- This step lasts 10 minutes. Then turn the whole chicken over.

- Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Flip the chicken over and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Cool the cooked chicken on a clean sticky board.
