Shrimp Toast is a type of breaded fried seafood served at restaurants. What makes it unique is its crispy crust and juicy inside. The dish was created by Chef David Chang from Momofuku Noodle Bar.
Chef Chang has been serving his signature dish since 2008. He started out selling the dish at his restaurant, and now he serves it at other restaurants across the country.
It’s no secret that breaded fried foods are delicious. In fact, shrimp toast are one of the most popular dishes in America.
shrimp toast Recipe
Ingredients:
Shrimp | 500 g |
Toast | 5 pieces |
Egg white | 1 |
Salt | 1/3 teaspoon |
White pepper | 1 teaspoon |
Starch | 2 tablespoons |
Butter | 1 block |
Garlic | 10 cloves |
Shallots | 2 |
How to make shrimp toast
1. fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined.
2. After mincing, add a small amount of salt, white pepper and starch, mix well and set aside (do not need to be particularly chopped).
3. Cut a piece of butter and melt it (I am used to adding a little less butter, just borrow a taste. If the oil is not enough, add more oil), chop the shallots and garlic and put them together with the melted butter.
4. toast slices.
5. Spread the shrimp diagonally over the toast.
6. Fold the other side up and coat with oil and shallots and garlic.
7. Preheat the oven , 200 degrees in the middle and lower layers, 10 minutes.
8. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, nutritious and delicious!

- 2 tablespoons Starc
