What is mu shu chicken
Mu Shu Chicken (also known as Mu Shu Pork) is a Chinese dish that originated in the city of Shanghai, China. It was first popularized by chefs at the Hangzhou Xiaochi Restaurant and later became very famous after being featured on TV shows such as Iron Chef America. The name comes from the Cantonese word “mu” which means “to mix,” and “shu” meaning “meat.”
The original recipe calls for pork, but this version uses chicken instead.
It’s also traditionally served with rice noodles or lo mein noodles.
But you can make it with any type of meat. You can use beef, lamb, venison, turkey, duck, etc.
And if you want to make it vegetarian, just substitute tofu for the meat.
mu shu chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
Agaric | 20 g |
Green pepper | 1 |
Carrot | 1 |
Mushroom | 5 |
Chicken breast | 8 oz |
Oyster sauce | 2 tablespoons |
Chicken powder | 1/4 teaspoon |
White pepper | 1/4 teaspoon |
Sugar | 1 teaspoon |
Oil | 2 tablespoons |
Garlic | 2 cloves |

How to make mu shu chicken
1. Put the shredded chicken into a bowl, add oil, pepper, braised soy sauce and stir well with chopsticks.
2. Pan oiled garlic soy pan.
3.Stir-fry chicken shreds, add a little cooking wine, stir-fry, and bring out the pot.
4.Washed and sliced shiitake mushrooms.
