Fried dumplings are a crispy snack and simple to make, it usually can find in Chinese restaurants.
What are fried dumplings?
Fried dumplings are one of the traditional snacks in northern China. They are made from flour and meat fillings and then fried after being cooled. The surface of the fried dumplings is golden and crispy.
How to fry frozen dumplings
Heat a wok with oil, and fry the frozen dumplings for 2 minutes until the bottom golden. Add 1/2 bowl of water, and cover the lid to cook for 5 minutes. Serve.
What dumpling dipping sauce to serve with this recipe?
Chinese garlic sauce is a good dumpling sauce. Serve with it is a great choice.
Fried Dumpling Recipe
You’ll need:
1 onion
200g spicy Kimchi
100g tofu
500g beef, minced
100g Chinese chives, chopped
50g vermicelli
2 tablespoons starch
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon five-spice powder
1 tablespoon salt
For the dumpling wrappers
500g Medium-gluten flour
235g clear water
1/2 teaspoon salt

How to make dumplings filing
1. Mix beef, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, ginger, 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of five-spice powder and 1 tablespoon of salt in a bowl.
2. Heat a wok with 1 tablespoon of oil, and stir-fry the beef until color change. Transfer on a plate. Cook vermicelli and cut into small sections.
3. Add the tofu, Chinese chives, vermicelli, onion, Spicy Kimchi and beef in a bowl. And put 1 tablespoon of salt and stir clockwise to make dumpling filling.
How to make dumpling wrappers
1. Add the medium-gluten flour, 235g clear water and 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a bread machine and knead it for 15 minutes. Then, set aside for 30 minutes.
2. Transfer the dough on the workbench, rub the dough into strips. Divide the dough evenly into 12g small dough and roll them with a rolling pin.
How to fry dumplings
1. Wrap the filling in the dumpling wrappers. Heat a wok with 1 tablespoon of oil, add the dumpling and fry under middle heat for 3 minutes until golden.
2. Mix 1/2 bowl of water with starch. (Water: Starch = 10: 1)Pour it in the wok, cover the lid and continue to cook for 8 minutes. Transfer them on a plate and serve.
